Ghost Train

"They laid tracks for a ghost train," said the engineer. "But who's going to ride it? Ghosts don't buy tickets!"

Garden Of Lust

From a bed of roses

To a bed of nettles

Smooth satin sheets

Becoming metal

Tender whispers

On plumped up pillows

Now bitter pills

And weeping willows

Love was taken

Not returned

Lust's a lesson

Never learned

They wanted to kiss

Yet missed

With Mistletoe

How could they resist?

What he didn't know

Was he'd stood

On her toe

A short lived bliss

All of their hoping

Just turned into hopping!

Louder as they pass

Now he screams

But not through a window

It's a screen

Nobody knows

His soul away

He was her dragon

Didn't have talons

But their 'nomance'

Dragged on

He kept

Her waiting

In a 'complicationship'

Reputation of

A reptile

Scaly, bit flaky

A hazardous lizard

Still

In a puff

Of sweet vaporised smoke

She was sucked

A Poem A Day For A Year & Self-Evaluation - 18/01

So Sunday is the day on which I am dedicating to self-evaluation. As you may know, at the moment I am going through a bout of depression, which comes and goes and affects me to the point where I freeze at the thought of doing anything even remotely helpful. I am trying to combat this by forcing myself to do things that I see as ‘putting myself out there for the world.’ This blog and Poem A Day For...

A Poem A Day For A Year - 17/01/15

I’m a little drunk off lucky dip tokens at our local bar so today’s blog will be brief. I think some of you may appreciate that after yesterday’s anti-feminism post. Though that post garnered the highest reception since I started doing this so maybe I should lay into good causes more often. Oxfam, I’m coming for you next.

As far as weeks go, it’s not been a good one this week. My productivity h...
